Currently, The Mosaic Initiative is a small entirely volunteer-based nonprofit because of this, we don’t have any paid staff positions available right now (although we hope to in the future!). As we grow, we are also looking to grow our team! Being volunteer-run, we have many different opportunities that vary in levels of time commitment and involvement. We’d love to hear about you and explore how we can plug you into our team!


THE PROCESS

Due to the nature of our work, we do have an application process for vetting, accepting and on-boarding volunteers (particularly if you’re looking to volunteer in an area outside of helping on our event/fundraiser team).

  • 1) Submit our Volunteer Initial Inquiry form.

    2) Connect with us.

    We will contact you by phone or email provided to set up an virtual or in-person meeting. (Don’t worry, it’s nothing formal, we can get to know each other and you can learn more about our volunteer opportunities and how you’d like to be involved!)

    3) Submit Full Application Form & Sign Volunteer Agreement

    All volunteers will be required to complete a full application form & volunteer agreement that will be sent to applicant post initial inquiry.

  • What kind of volunteer opportunities are available?

    -We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities ranging from community outreach to administrative tasks, fundraising events, social media management and awareness campaigns. We tailor opportunities based on your skills, interests, and availability.

    Are there any specific requirements to volunteer?

    -We do ask that volunteers are 18+ unless volunteering as Event Staff alongside their legal guardian who remains present.

    -While there are no other specific requirements, we do appreciate volunteers who are passionate about our cause, committed to making a difference, and willing to undergo any necessary training. Some roles may require specific skills or experience*.

    4. Do I need prior experience to volunteer?

    -No prior experience is necessary for most volunteer roles. We provide training if required and offer support to all volunteers to ensure they are equipped to contribute effectively.

    5. What is the time commitment for volunteering?

    -The time commitment varies depending on the role and your availability. Some opportunities may be an single event, some require a few hours a week, while others may be more intensive. We work with each volunteer to find a schedule that works for them!

    6. Can I volunteer remotely if I'm not based locally?

    Absolutely! Many of our volunteer opportunities can be done remotely, so location is not a barrier to getting involved.

    7. How does the volunteer selection process work?

    Once you submit your initial inquiry form our team will review it and will reach out to you for further discussion or clarification. We strive to match volunteers with roles that align with their skills, interests, and availability. After an initial meeting or assessment, we will notify you of your acceptance and provide any necessary training.

    8. Will I receive any training as a volunteer?

    -Yes, if required we provide training to all volunteers to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to fulfill their roles effectively.

    9. How will volunteering with your nonprofit make a difference?

    Volunteering with us provides a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the fight against sex trafficking in India. Your efforts will directly impact the lives of survivors and help raise awareness about this critical issue. Together, we can make a difference and create positive change!
